CAMIF Launches Informational Site at www.camif.coop
On 4 April 2005, the French cooperative CAMIF, the third most
important distance selling company in France, launched its
institutional information web site. The
www.camif.coop site allows
Internet users to get to know the company and members to
participate in its development and evolution.
Camif.coop will supplement the commercial site
www.camif.fr which continues to
provide access to the e-commerce facilities of CAMIF.
The objective is to create a space dedicated to members, which will
allow them to voice their opinions and participate in the life of
the cooperative especially by voting online during future general
assemblies. The web site will also provide the entire CAMIF group a
way to promote awareness of the co-operative and knowledge of the
various activities it supports. It will also provide a way to
present and describe its involvement and concern for its members
and their communities.
The web site presents the variety of activities supported by the
CAMIF group. A series of headings explains CAMIF's organization,
various businesses, and the activities and values it promotes. The
member will also find all relevant information concerning the
functioning of the cooperative. Members can access a dedicated part
of the web site where all documents circulated for the General
Assembly are provided. A contact box is reserved for members'
questions and forums will be created to encourage dialogue with the
cooperative on topics of interest to its members.
According to CAMIF's secretary general,

of the consumer cooperative to the world of the social economy, is
a basis of our social values, and gives a more accurate picture of
CAMIF in 2005."
